Oh what a wonderful time we had at the Spirit Of Christmas last week. The Spirit of Christmas is a fantastic Christmas fair held at Olympia, London. There is over 800 stalls, so definitely the biggest fair we have ever taken part in. The fair is bursting with amazing products, delicious food and of course lots of Christmas cheer. We met some lovely customers, caught up with lots of fellow stall holders and had lots of lovely friends and family visit too!
We were at the fair for a week so we had lots of opportunity to wander around and discover lots of new companies and of course lots of familiar faces too! We have put together a few of our 'Top Picks' from the show, but if you haven't ever been to the show make you sure you try and go next year as there are some amazing stalls there.
Margot and Mila have such a wonderful collection of jewellery, which is handmade in London, using sterling silver, 22 carat gold and ethically sourced precious stones. We love Margot and Mila's eclectic range of modern jewellery. Margot & Mila was born out of a love for Victorian and Georgian antique jewellery and the incredible attention to detail involved in hand-carving intricate pieces from these eras over many hours. Margot and Mila creates her own version of this art form, whilst keeping a vintage to each design. We especially love her colourful tassels earrings!! https://www.margotandmila.com
Miss Pom Pom is an independent knitted accessories brand based in Brixton. Miss Pom Pom combines bold and bright colours with modern, geometric patterns and clean lines, embodying a playful, youthful aesthetic. Designers Bronwyn and Emily create colourful contemporary knit pieces like oversized scarves, chunky bobble hats and cute fingerless gloves, almost always with a pompom! We think their scarves are just gorgeous, they almost look like pieces of art hanging up! https://misspompom.com
Hogben Pottery were there with their beautifully hand thrown range of pottery. Jane's range of British made pottery is very eye catching, yet stylishly simplistic. We especially liked her Christmas range with the robins on! http://www.janehogbenterracotta.co.uk
It was fantastic to see the lovely Ali and Marie from Meminio were there with their gorgeous memory cases! The concept of Meminio comes from when Alison found a vintage suitcase case in her grandmother’s home and she began using it to store my daughter’s precious keepsakes, so they have created their very own colourful versions of this vintage suitcase! We just love them and think their stand looked fantastic. https://meminio.com
And finally...we were so lucky to be next to the lovely Sally from Plooms. Sally has designed a range of beautiful fountain pens in a range of gorgeous colours. Sally said' There are times when I want to type and there are times when I want to write in ink. Then I want a fountain pen that is snug and weighty in my hand. A pen that is such a gorgeous colour that it makes me smile every time I use it. When I couldn't find such a pen I created PLOOMS'.
They are just fantastic and we were so lucky to both be given one at the end which was just so kind. Sally was the best neighbour and we loved spending the week with her! http://www.plooms.co.uk
We had such a fantastic time at Spirit of Christmas and would definitely recommend a visit if you haven't been before. It is nice time to be home though...
