What an inspirational day at RHS Chelsea Flower Show, so much to take in, to look at and to photograph. It was hard to choose a handful of photos to put in the journal. We were so lucky that the sun was out all day and shone over all the stunning garden which had been put together by such talent. My favourite garden had to be Ann-Marie Powell's it was based around this bold orange container and I just absolutely loved it, I think we went to see it 5 times in the end!
Another garden I kept going back to see was the collaboration between designer Claudy Jongstra and Stefan Jaspers. All the flowers in the garden could be used as natural dyes. There was a stream running through the garden emulating the dyes running to the sheepskin. It was a really subtle message about sustainable dying techniques with a beautiful wall hanging, which was the result of the dyed wool.
There were lots of fantastic trade stands at the show, one design idea particularly caught my eye and that was the Boskke sky planter. This is specifically designed so that plants can be hung upside down from the ceiling it was something I have never seen before. Cool idea!
