Wow oh wow, what a wonderful day we had at the fantastic Burnham Market Craft Fair. The sun was shining and so many people came to support all of the local stalls on the beautiful green in the centre of the village. Burnham Market is a stunning village so a really wonderful backdrop for such a great event. The Burnham Market craft fair was in its 43rd year this year and we were so pleased to take part. It was so lovely to meet so many customers and chat to lots of other stall holders too.
The organisers handpicked a wonderful selection of designers and makers, mostly from Norfolk, to showcase their work in Saturday. Everyone who takes part in the fair has handmade their products themselves, so it really is a special day. It was so hard to pick a few stall holders to write about, but here are just a few that we thought we would share with you.
Second Nature Soaps come from Hertfordshire. Juliette makes small batches of artisan handmade soaps made with extra virgin olive and oil and the finest natural oils. They all smell delicious and her stand looked lovely. Take a look at Juliette's website to see her full range. https://www.secondnaturesoaps.co.uk
James and Joanna were also there with their range of handmade homewares all individually created using hand picked vintage fabrics. They have a wide range of cushions, small gifts and lavender bags in soft, tonal floral prints. We especially like their use of old fabrics and new ideas to create unique homeware pieces. Their website has their whole range on, definitely one to look at www.jamesandjoannadesign.com. They will also be with us at Deepdale just before Christmas too.
And finally a big mention goes to Judith Swannell with her wonderful handmade ceramics. We loved Judith's use of contrasting colour and her rustic glaze work she uses on her pots. Judith's stand looked striking yet simple and really stood out as you walked past, we were instantly drawn in!
All in all we had a wonderful day and were so pleased to have been given a pitch. There is really is no other fair quite like Burnham Market craft fair...fingers crossed we will be there next year too.
