Our talented friend Polly organised a fantastic Christmas craft morning in Weybourne, Norfolk this weekend. It was a really wonderful way to finish the Christmas fair season. After travelling around Norfolk and the rest of the country it was so lovely to be next to one of our great friends Polly, who was selling her artisan breads, perfect panetones and scrumptious stollens. The barn was full of gorgeous Christmas gifts including Claire's stunning handmade reiths.
It doesn't stop there though, we are back in the studio today, sending out last minute orders and getting ourselves ready for Top Drawer in January. Top Drawer is a trade show that we are exhibiting at in the 'Craft' section, which showcases British design, we just can't wait. We will be parcelling up orders for Christmas until Wednesday...so a few more days to go! Happy Christmas to you all!
It was a sad day here on the farm on Wednesday as we had to say goodbye to our resident stock bull Hamish. Hamish has been with us for the last 5 years, he originally came all the way from the Isle of Bute. He has very much enjoyed his time here in Norfolk however it was sadly time for him to move on and meet some new ladies. He has gone to the lovely county of Buckinghamshire to The Pointer Brill, a farm, pub and butchery. We are very confident he will enjoy his years there and he will have lots of friends including some friendly faced Hampshire Downs. We do miss him already though!
We had a fantastic day on Saturday when we opened the doors to our studio here on the farm. It was so lovely having everyone to the studio again and it was great seeing it look so tidy!! The studio was full of festive cheer, it was a really lovely day. It is always a pleasure to invite everyone into our creative space even though it does look a bit different from day to day! It was great to see so many of you and we would like to say a big thank you for everyone's support!
We will be sending orders out up until the 22nd of December to get to you before Christmas if you have any last minute shopping to do.
Wishing everyone a lovely Christmas and very Happy New Year!
Last week was extremly busy here in the studio and on the farm. After taking our pop-up shop down in Holt it was a very quick turn around to get ready for the weekend. We were at Dalegate Market from Friday till Sunday at their amazing Christmas Fair. It was a little chilly but spirits were high and festive cheer was all around. It's always a great atmostphere when so many local small businesses get together and what a fantastic small business community we have here in Norfolk. As ever it is great to meet new and current customers, to tell them the inspirations and ethos behind our company.
Even though we couldn't feel our toes Dalegate Market is still one of our favourite local Christmas events, it champions Norfolk's designers and makers. They are also holding a Spring Market in March which will definitely be worth a look, more details to follow.
Even though we have been super busy we always spare the time for our hairy Highlanders here on the farm. Looking as gorgeous as ever, even if a little weathered, as we head full force into winter.
What a fantastic week we have had in our Pop Up Shop in Holt. It has been so nice being able to have all of our products out and have enough space to show them off properly. We have had so many lovely customers through the doors and it has been nice to see so many friendly faces pop by too.
We had a fantastic night last night for the Holt Light switch on. Holt was buzzing and the lights look fantastic of course. It is definitely starting to feel like Christmas now.
For anyone that runs a small business or is thinking about starting a shop then definitely think about renting out this Pop Up space at Franklyn's Yard in Holt, it has been fantastic. Please come and see us at Deepdale Christmas Market this weekend, we will be there with lots of fantastic Christmas ideas for you all.
We are a textile company, based on a farm in Norfolk, designing and manufacturing high quality homeware and interior products within Norfolk and the UK.
