This weekend we were at the gorgeous farm shop 'Back to the Garden' in Letheringsett, Norfolk (http://www.back-to-the-garden.co.uk). The fair was organised by North Norfolk Arts and Crafts who support local artists and makers by creating these selective events. This was the first time we had done one of their events and we loved it, it was so interesting to meet so many new local artists and designers. We were also so lucky to have the most beautiful weather, we were topping up our tans whilst working, what a perfect combination! As ever it was great to meet our customers face to face and be able to discuss our work. It was especially lovely to hear from many people that they had seen and bought our products elsewhere in Norfolk at our new stockists. Very exciting!
A BIG thank you to Jonathan from 'The Dandy Lions' for modelling a pom pom clutch for us!
Norfolk is full of lots of lovely gift shops, delis and cafes that are all extremely keen to support British designers and makers but especially designers from Norfolk. We have been really lucky that lots of local shops stock our products and promote the fact we are a British brand with a strong belief in British design and manufacturing.
We have recently started stocking our products in Thornham Deli, a lovely gift shop, deli and cafe on the North Norfolk coast. It is a lovely spot and full of gorgeous gifts too.
Another one of our local stockists is Wiveton Cafe and Shop which was featured on BBC's 'Normal For Norfolk'. Wiveton aims to use only British designers and concentrates a great deal on Norfolk designers too. They also have a cafe which serves delicious food and you can spend the afternoon picking strawberries and raspberries too!
If you are in Norfolk over the Summer then definitely make an effort to visit all these lovely places. Take a look on our stockists page http://www.izzirainey.com/stockists.html to see where else you can find IzziRainey products in Norfolk and across the rest of the country.
Sorry to this has taken a few days for us to write, it has been a very busy week here on the farm. However, what a fantastic time we had this year at the Royal Norfolk Show with our lovely Highlands. The cows behaved beautifully and enjoyed all the attention from the public, the Highlands are definitely a big hit with everyone because of their lovely hair and iconic horns. All the hard definitely paid off when our lovely yearling heifer, Donella Ruadh of April came first in her class and Elizabeth 22nd of April came 2nd in a very competitive class of 2yrd old heifers. We had a great few days and it was lovely to see so many people there as it is great to support your local agricultural show. Of course we did a bit of marketing ourselves with the IzziRaineyt Highland Cow bunting hanging above the Highlands themselves...!
